Dede Koswara, the man from Indonesia who was afflicted with a rare condition where gnarly warts grow all over his body is now able to hold a pen and send text messages through a cellphone. After several surgeries and treatment, this is now how he looks like.
He was afflicted with the disease as a teenager after he was cut on the knee. The warts has since then spread all over his body. It came to a point where his warts were so thick and spread all over him he resembled a human with tree branches growing on his appendages mostly, thus being dubbed the "Tree Man".
Shunned by friends and relatives, unable to find a job, he joined the circus as part of an act to earn money.
Sadly though, a new update came about that Doctors are nowhere near curing him completely. His post surgery treatment consists of salycylic lotion on the affected parts.
As of this writing, Doctors are finding new warts growing on parts of his body.

ReplyDeleteWow, most of these comments are all so cruel. This poor man got a disease from being injured (as a teenager, not born that way) and had his entire life turned upside down. He's fought the entire rest of his life to cope with the effects of his disease and all people have to say is "ew," "that's nasty," and "I would kill myself." All of you who look at him and read his story and yet THOSE are your thoughts, should be extremely ashamed of yourself.
